Upload photos on the web or send email quickly at low resolution

In order to properly load the pictures on web pages or send them easily via email, is recommended to load with a maximum width of about 1000-1200 PX.

You can in various ways to reduce them, the simplest is with Picasa.

Picasa can be downloaded free from the page:
http://picasa.google.com

Once you install Picasa, it makes you see all the pictures you have in your PC, going in BOX text that is in the top right you can search to find the photos you need, you can search is part of the name of file is part of the folder that contains photos.

Once you find the photos you must select it (or select them all together if more than one) with your mouse and click on EXPORT (big button at the bottom of the screen).

At this point you can either choose the folder in which to export photos, is the maximum size of exported photos. For example, typing "400" under "Resize to" the pictures would like length value of 400 pixels on the longest side.

The photo (or photos) so it will be exported small (as weight in bytes) and the right size, will therefore be even easier to email or upload to the web.

It is also possible to send pictures via email with one click, simply is EMAIL instead of clicking on Export.

How to use Flickr with tools load faster your photos

Flickr is a great site for publication of their photos and in particular has these advantages:
- Can directly identify the details of the pictures (camera model and details of capture, given the geo-positioning, author and copyright management)
- Is (basic version) FREE and has limits that are less restrictive use moderate;
- Is probably the most popular website used for uploading photos online;
- Has the tools "owners" issued by the same team of Flickr (like Flickr Uploader) and tens (if not hundreds) of programs that can interface with the site for uploading and managing photos;
- Lot of websites and online tools can be linked directly to the galleries of photos on Flickr.

Once you register your website (which is fine a Yahoo already exists), must upload your photos and I suggest you install (if you have a PC with Windows or Mac OSX) Flickr Uploadr and the free program you can download from HERE
http://www.flickr.com/tools/uploadr/

Obviously many people already use tools for managing photos on your PC and the most popular application, easy to use and free is definitely PICASA (if you have not already you can download it from here http://picasa.google.com / ), so it's almost necessary to use this little tool "picasa2flickr" that lets you send directly to the program FLICKR UPLOADER all the photos from our Picasa album, saving the time it would take to re-export and select the photos already organized and edited in Picasa.
picasa2flickr is FREE and downloadable directly from this link (as of January 20, 2009):
picasa: / / importbutton /? url = http://picasa2flickr.4now.net/picasa2flickr_install_v4.pbz

For more information or to download the updated version please refer to page
http://picasa2flickr.sourceforge.net/

A little advice: once installed go to Flickr Uploadr TOOLS menu and click on PREFERENCES, here you can set the value to resize the picture (Automatic Resizing) and suggest how to select 1280 PIXEL value, this value with your photos will be visible and downloadable other users and you can use as the background, the screen but you will have the advantage of not burdening too much bandwidth for uploading photos and not consume all the space you have on your account. Also this way you will always have the only copy of "high resolution" on your PC, your personal archive (which I recommend you periodically save a backup).

If the information is helpful to leave a comment on this page!

How to recover deleted photos from digital camera memory (free: download freeware)

The best program for retrieving data from the memories of digital cameras, for ease of use and price (FREE!) Is definitely PC Inspector File Recovery. I used it several times and has always been very useful and very fast.

The program automatically recognizes all connected to the PC (either formatted or not, is associated with a letter or without) and allows almost instantaneous recovery of all the files you just deleted.

PCI File Recovery The program will NOT work with hard drives or physically damaged media, and almost impossible to retrieve files located in a memory where you re-use space (for example, were made more photos, recordings or various bailouts ).

To download the file is available at the following link (the program is multilingual, even in Italian!)

http://download.pcinspector.de/pci_filerecovery.exe
